Hi - 93 Fiesta Petrol 1.1 - how can I check my oil pressure warning light is working ok. I cannot remember if it used to come/go out or flash when starting to show bulb is working but notice I had not seen the bulb lit for ages (if at all). Bulb is ok as have checked this by removing and replacing. Also disconnected the oil switch connector on engine to see if it came on but it did not. Sure the answer to a regular bulb check at every start up is simple but cannot figure it out and the handbook is not much help.

More than likely to be a fault with the pressure switch.If you earth/touch the wire to the engine block with ignition on,then the light should illuminate.If it does then the switch is the problem.hth
