when the engine is running there is a lot of vibration within the car,if you depress the clutch the vibration lessens, its been to a garage but they cant solve it, they have checked engine mounts, and exhaust, no issues, anyone have any ideas,

Has this suddenly or gradually come on, or has it always been like it?

Check the engine mounting by the coolant header tank - it's probably collapsed and the engine bearer may be touching the chassis in the slot underneath.

PSA had a bad batch of these mounts - with orange plastic tops. The better ones have white tops.

sometimes the exhaust pipe attachment to the gearbox fractures.
