Diesel fuel filter pic - hairy or what? - oilrag
The Fiat (purflux) original seems as smooth as silk with a squeezable very well crafted almost sponge like ultra smooth surface multi layer fleece like element. ( I know I only squeezed the old one) and fitted a new purflux one - a while back..

But I came across this which seems to be almost like flaky substance hard bound on a bobbin with almost no give in it - no squeeze - and - well zoom in on this G600 image - look at the edges.

Image valid until around 8.30 tonight (or longer If I`m instructed)

It looks like the fiberglass sheet you use with resin to make boats etc...
