Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the ABS toothed ring on the front drive shaft can be replaced as one of mine has rusted off and activated the ABS warning light.

I am not familiar with the Matiz but on other cars I have seen, they are part of the CV joint.
The ring itself is also known as a reluctor ring.

Thanks for the post. Chevrolet wants £160 + vat for the CV/reluctor ring combination. Now that is expensive. I looked around and found two UK companies selling these rings - Nigel Thompson Transmissions can supply them for £25 plus carriage.

I had a similar problem with a Renault Meganne.
In the end after much head scratching I managed to get a spare ring from a knackered driveshaft I picked up at local breakers. I then just welded a small piece of the spare ring into the gap on the cars ring. It worked fine and saved having to dismantle the front suspension and take the driveshaft off.

Changed the reluctor ring today - about 3 hrs work. Not too difficult a job .
