02 1.1 Speedo Problem - Stewart_2004
Hi everyone im new to the forum,

I am having trouble with my 1.1 independent The speedo Suddenly dropped from 40mph to 0 now it intermittently starts and stops working. The car will judder when the speeo is about to stop it does the same when it comes back on. I have checked the VSS and that seems to be ok the teeth on the cog looks ok does any one know what the problem could be ?

Any help would be good.

Had the same problem with my 406 for years. Changed the throttle position sensor - no difference. If I find a solution I'll post it. Stewart

Well I got a new speed sensor from ebay for £20 and fitted that also got my self a usb to odb2 which showed the error code VSS fault cleared the code and the car runs fine now no problems at all.

Hi we had the same problem of irratic speedo flicking between 0 and 220 km. Fitted a new speedo sensor, but now the speedo needle moves between 140km and 220km. Any ideas would be appreciated.
