When I was in the uk I had a gas system fitted to my Ford Explorer. What a disaster it cost more to run it on gas than petrol ,would not change over consistently and cut out for no reason on gas.I have had it removed and had to have the EC remapped. On returning to Germany I talked to Ford and they imform me that their own systems on the mondeo and volvo are also a disaster(unofficially)and the technology does not exist to gaurentee a good convertion on all vehicles.I know there are some succesfull convertions out there but buyer beware.
Also it was not a fly by night company that did the converstion.

If you got stuffed with a disastrous gas conversion, Andy, what chance do the rest of us stand?
Think I'll stick with the Chancellor's favourite unleaded after all.
Still keen on those diesel Cit XMs?

I had a gas conversion on my Series III Land Rover 2 years ago and I am extremely pleased with it. Instead of costing me over £30 in fuel I now pay £16 average for a year. The conversion cost me £750 plus vat. However the LR is a lot simpler to convert than a Ford or a Volvo.

Sorry, the figures are for a week. £30 a week and £16 a week.
I wish it was £16 a year!
