Ford Fiesta (1995 - 1999) - 1996 N reg 1.3 - Clutch info

1996 N reg 1.3 - Clutch info - Chris1905
Just called Mr Clutch, as my clutch is slipping. They asked me whether the clutch is cable or hydralic! There's a vast difference in the price and I've no idea. Does anyone know that has the same car or does any know how I can find out?

Perhaps call the parts centre of your local Ford garage and give them your numberplate and ask?

Which model? This is the age when Mk3 became Mk4 - Mark 3 definately has a cable clutch. The cable on mine detached itself during rush hour in Leeds!

I had a P reg mk4 1.4 which was definitely hydraulic.

Does the car have a hydraulic cyinder that needs its level maintained? Look in owners manual if in doubt?

If so its hydraulic. If not its cable.
