Vauxhall Corsa B (1993 - 2000) - 1996 1.4 Engine Management Light

1996 1.4 Engine Management Light - Beccalou
After my wife has been driving for a while and the engine has warmed up occasionally the engine management light comes on and it cuts out. After a couple of minutes it starts up again and all is okay. It always starts first time and only started doing it yesterday. Any ideas?

Ideally the fault code(s) need reading out, which takes away the guesswork of what the problem is.

Offhand, I can't recall where the diagnostic socket is on the Corsa-B though.
