01 1.6 lambda sensor replaced, ecu light still on - duffers17
Today i have had the labor lambda sensor replaced but the engine light on the dashboard is still lit.

If the light is still on, then it either needs resetting or there is another fault and it needs hooking up to a diagnostic reader.

Was it replaced with the correct one? Some cars are more particular than others and the generic cheapies dont always work well

Much more likely is that the sensor has been replaced in error.

Just because a lambda fault code is stored does not mean the lambda sensor must be faulty - it could very well have been faithfully reporting a rich or weak mixture resulting from a fault elsewhere in the fuel system or air intake system.
