2001 1.1 Door Replacement and paint query - ittim
I've just bought the missus a 2001 Saxo Forte but its in a bit of a mess. The two N/S doors both have dents in them. (its a 5 door)

I've found a guy who is breaking a 1996 Saxo in what appears to be the same colour so my questions are as follows...

Will the doors on a 96 model be the same as a 2001 (Y) model?
I've heared that there was only ever one metalic blue colour used on Saxo's - both appear to be metalic blue what are the chances of it being the same blue?

and also how easy are they to swap? someone mentioned a need for some welding?

I don't have any firm answers but:

Whilst there may only be one metalic blue, manufacturers like to tweak shades from time to time, so you may not get an exact match.

I imagine you will need to remove the hinge pins - this may or may not require a special tool.

The best place to post your question is probably on one of the dedicated Saxo sites.
