Views on SmartNav please - Xtype
My car has Smartnav built in which was there when i brought it. I have never used it as i have a Tomtom. Ive just checked on the subscription pricing and its £109 a year. What are people's view on these systems? Are they better than a Tomtom? My system does not have any screen so it would only be voice guidance.

Sis-in-law has one in her car. She says its great as the directions given from the Smart Nav HQ take into account known traffic problems from the Trafficmaster sensors, but the one thing you don't get is a map.

In my experience you need a map to know exactly which exit at a roundabout (for example) you should be taking.
