2003 2.0 A/C lowest working temperature? - glowplug
Hi,

What is the lowest temperature that the A/C system will work to clear the windscreen on my 53 reg car?

I suppose that it differs slightly but there must be a temperature at which there's no point having it on. I like to run it up every couple of weeks to keep it working OK. If the temperature's too low will the compressor even engage?

Seem to recall that 5.0c external is the threshold for VAG aircon. I could be wrong.

The compressor will engage for a very short time. Try and listen for it!

Thanks for the info guys. About 5 degrees C seems to be the cutoff point on the C5.

Maybe mine is broken then, appears to cut in until 1 degree.
