07 2.0 Rotate tyres with TPMS - the_bandit
I want to rotate the tyres on my Galaxy and have the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System fitted.

Is this system smart enough to realise I have switched the tyres around or does it require a re-program at the Dealers?

The TPMS on the Galaxy should auto detect the position of the sensors. (No procedure given for "Re learning") Try doing just two at a time, and then make sure the system is happy before moving the other two. I would also give the system a minute or two to settle down, before driving the car off.

You move the tyres if you want but side to side swops are not ideal as you have change the direction of rotation od the tyre. This changes the noise charateristic of the tyres and effects the grip in the shorter terms. Front to rear changes are the best move or the replacement of a pair. Regards Peter

OKAY rotated the tyres (front to rear etc..) and the system has recognised the change.

I was expecting a Dealer visit for that one and the usual "Well the computer says.....blah blah".
