1999 1.6 mileage light gone - dbleman
Hi,
at the moment I can't see how many miles the car has done at all as the readout does not light up !! Is there any way of changing the light behind the milage readout without taking the steering wheel and dash out ?
Thanks

The speedo pod needs to come out, but you can leave the steering wheel on.

Here's a previous write up I did ages ago.

Some further help can be found in the how2 section of astraownersclub.

Scroll down to the "interior" section and click on " 'How To'..... Remove the Instrument Binnacle(MK4)"

One word of warning DO NOT turn the ignition key on while the speedo pod is removed or you will paying for an airbag light reset.

This is a common fault on all Vectra's and Astra's - Before you take anything apart give the top of the Dash a good 'Slap' it fixes it a lot of the time-Its usually just a bad connection-Good Luck.
