1993 1.9 banging noise from rear - jonlucpicard
I have a banging noise coming from the rear of my 405.
It seems to be coming from the nearside rear wheel area.
It's a constant banging with no regular pattern.
It sounds like the exhaust is banging against something but i don't think it's that as i've pushed the exhaust in all directions really hard and i can't make it bang against anything.
Also i have bounced on the towbar and rocked the car and i can't make the noise happen but when i drive it the banging starts by just driving down the road, i don't even have to drive over a bump for it to bang.
Anyone got any ideas as it's driving me mad?

seen a number of these where the rear swinging arm bushes have worn out. Also check the shocker is not either siezed or its bushes excessively worn
Make it so Mr Worf.
