Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 05 1.4 loses power

05 1.4 loses power - carl24488
Hi, my girlfriend recently purchased a 2005 1.4 fiesta zetec petrol from GK, approx a week after purchase we started to notice the car losing power out of the blue and juddering. The car judders violently as if it is about to stall and then you will get all the power back and shoot off.

It has been into GK again and they said it was the clutch? This was repaired and the car continues to do this fairly frequently. GK have road tested the car several times and havent experienced the problem

Any ideas would be helpful

Severe loss of power and juddering can be a sign of insulation failure on the HT leads - or even a failing coilpack.

Tell the garage to take a hard look at the ignition side.
