96 1.8 8v petrol cam belt break advice. - robert
Hi,

Has anyone got any experience/comments on these engines please.

Aprox 125k, not sure if its the original belt or not. Breakage happened at low speed.

Am hoping for comments as to likely damage and possible repair cost.

they alway's bend the valves on these!. At one time Renault did an exchange Cyl head all built up ready to go for about £350. may be worth a check with a dealer.

At that age it's not worth it, IMHO. Weigh it in and spend your money on something else.
