Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 2000 2.0 hdi knocking sound at speed

2000 2.0 hdi knocking sound at speed - dippydodaa
My 306 HDI 2000/W has a loud knocking sound and harsh ride at about 50-70mph. The car vibrates as if driving over small bumps in the road but the problem seems to go if you drive above 70? The tyre pressures are all ok, maybe the balancing is out or suspension issues? Any ideas please

The most urgent check is for a tyre delaminating. Look/feel for a bulge in the carcase - beware any exposed wires.

seems like the rear shocks are totally knackered! Also there is excessive wear on the inside of both rear tyres
