04 1.9 enterprise - reversing lights - spacemoggy
Hello all. I fitted parking sensors to my Berling Enterprise van, all was ok for a month or two, now the reversing lights have packed up. The reversing lights provide the power feed for the parking sensors. Checked fuses, can't see anything amiss, any ideas would be most appreciated...many thanks...Rick

If its a canbus system then connecting extra circuits can cause damage to the ECU if its normal hard wired system then you need to check the voltage at the reversing lights when in reverse gear,my first guess is the bulbs have blown.

Hi Andy, many thanks for the speedy reply. It is a hard wired system, a bit odd for the 2 bulbs to blow surely???...i'll go take a peep now...cheers mate...Rick

Bulbs were ok, can't check voltage at the mo, as it's a double handed job, but i wouldn't expect any voltage to be present. Is there a reversing switch on the gearbox anybody??...thanks...Rick
