Can someone help? I have a 306 hdi and I've just changed the turbo and replaced the cat and exhaust was running but just cut out and engine management came on engine just stopped and will now not start.

Does the tank pump prime for 10 secs at key-on? What happened to the turbo?

I don't hear anything when I turn key on but picture of engine stays on all time. Do you think it could be pump ? thank you

Too early to make guesses - still testing; is fuel pump feed fuse 35 [check # with your handbook] live for 10 seconds at key-on?

hi have tested fuse diesel control and fuel pump when key switched on and when turning engine over there is no live feed any ideas thanks

Check the inertia switch is down and that the fuelling relay has permanent live feeds on pins 11 and 8.

turbo blew oil was going straight into manifold smoke evrywhere new tubo and exaust and cat fitted two days ago

Does yours actually have a tank pump first and foremost? Its rare but mine doesn't, there is a hand primer in the engine bay, which would need priming I would think.

Also have you tried disconnecting the battery for 20 mins? After a major job on mine the engine wouldn't start at all just kept turning over, after lots of head scratching for 2 hours we did the above and started on the first turn.

thank you for advice yes has got atank pump had turbo fitted and engin management light came on still ran ok but did cut out a coulple of times then had ne wcat and exhaust fitted ran fine for about an hour then cut and wont start anymore.there is no surply to fuel pump or diesel control fuses in engin bay.?????????????

Not much more you can do on such a complex system; you'll need a good diesel specialist to test the supply relay etc.
