98 2.0 - Won't turn over, and ABS light on - cawe

I was using the car with out any problems up until a few days ago? nothing appeared to be wrong, but when I go in to start it a few days ago, it wouldn?t start. The lights on the dash were all coming on it is just the engine wont turn over.

I also noticed (for the first time) that the ABS light on the dashboard came on. Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas on what is wrong?

Ok... I?ll start by saying I know very little bout what happens under a bonnet,
The battery appears fine as all the lights came on when I turned the key.

The immobiliser light went green once the code was entered.

Wiring ? I haven?t been in any accidents or moved anything so I can?t see any wired being pulled out something could have slipped loose but as don t know what I would be looking for so would know where to start.

Never assume. The dash lights need 1 amp to work - the starter needs 300.

Try jump leads first.
