00 1.8 - noisy engine plus engine management probs - samsun
hi ive got a vectra 1.8ls,year 2000.its done 67000 miles and in the last 8 weeks my engine management light has come on?ive had it checked on a laptop etc and its showed severale faults ie throttle body unit,knock sensors etc but it still starts and gets me to where ever i need,i do think its lost some power tho,any ideas ?????? all so in the last month my engine has got louder,like a tapping sowing machine noise???????what could it be and costs etc .thankyou.

{year & engine details added to the subject header - the 3 separate requests asking you to do this were obviously playing hide and seek again, the rascals!}

Have you checked the oil level?
