2004 1.6. Radio interference on Sony Ford fit unit - tonyrees68

The Sony CD/Radio has very bad interference,crackling when iam listening to the radio the sound is perfect when playing a CD on all speakers (ive listened to them individuly).
When i change radio channels the sound is ok for about 1 minute then starts to crackle to the point that its unlistenable .
Any ideas

Hi its a 2004 1.6 titanuim {most of which now added - DD}
