Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 2001 1.6 - door mirror glass replacement

2001 1.6 - door mirror glass replacement - pug_leeds
A kindly soul managed to smash the drivers side door mirror glass this afternoon. The electric movement mechanism still seems to work so it looks like just the glass needs replacing. Can anyone advise how to do this? Thanks

Just pull it off, new one clips on.

Heated mirror glass is about £45 from Ford.

Slide the glass to one side, and the end will unhook, you may have to angle the mirror to access. Can't remember if it's slide to left or right, but you get the gist. A bit of a fiddle to re-fit, but you'll manage it.

Thanks for the help - £19 from Guiseley Ford and pretty straightforward to fit.

Wow! Was that heated? If so that's incredibly good value and I need to find myself a new Ford dealer.

Yes - exactly the same as the broken one. I was pleasantly surprised as I went expecting to pay £40 ish.
