2003 HDi Estate - Tailgate refused to unlock - Shoe
Hi,
Can anybody advise on a problem with my wife's Citroen C5 HDi 110 estate (2003). She unlocked it with the remote control, first thing in the morning, and although the doors were all open, the tailgate (not the window glass) remained resolutely locked.
She locked and unlocked the car a number of times and it still didn't open. Finally she put the key in the ignition (I think she may have turned the ignition on and off) and then when she tried the tailgate again it was unlocked.

I have seen a few of these with tailgate lock/unlock problems ,and in most cases the fault has been caused by broken wiring thro the flexi trunking from the body to the tailgate.hth

Okay, thanks for that. If it's not the wiring, could it be related to the automatic boot locking function and is this controlled by a single computer, the also auto wipers, lights and trip computer.
