Hi
Does anybody know how to adjust the seat of a BMW 1200RT touring bike?
I cannot see even how to get the seat off.. to many fairings!!

Vern,
If its the same as other big BMW bikes, have a look for the keyhole on the rear of the bike, above the reg plate. With a turn of that, you can lift the seat up and it should be adjustable, by moving the metal bell-bar type object. Some BMW bikes have an optional low seat, but its essentially just reprofiled, with a little less cushioning. Enough to make a difference though.

I can talk you through the process on a GS.....the other suggestion is joining the below forum they are very helpful even about other types of BMW.

Thanks, that was spot on, seat adjusted and the big heavy bike is much easier to handle at low speed.
