yr 1997, 1.6 16v - Cylinder 3 not sparking - spence_star
Guys,

I recently posted up a post regarding an issue i am having with a company who recently replaced my clutch and since then my engine hasn't been running correctly {wording in italics changed by DD from original statement}.

Basically this is the issue, Cylunder 3 is not firing up and just keeps filling up with petrol

Changed Coil Pack
Changed Spark plugs
Changed ignition leads

what can cause this to happen?

The work carried out on the car before it happened was a replacement clutch and grinding on the fly wheel.

Help would be much appreciated

if they have been messing about with the fly wheel maybe it has effected the crank position sensor and is causing a "no show" for spark on pot 3 ?

Can anyone else vouch for the crank position sensor?

Very unlikely to be the crank sensor.

Why was a new thread started if this is the same car/incident that was on your last one.

Do a compression test; it's likely been hammered and cracked a piston.
