Volvo service recommendations, Surrey

Volvo service recommendations, Surrey - flunky
Just noticed my MOT expires today, and also need first service since I bought it (four years old). Would prefer an independent.

Any recommendations in North Surrey? E.g., Guildford, Weybridge, Woking, etc.

car has done 57k miles, and had four previous services (every 12k miles), last service about 7k miles ago on 27th September 2006.

I'd be interested in this, as well. I've just had my XC90 in for a standard oil/filter/checkover at Pirbright, left over £400 poorer. I'm not saying this is unusual for a main dealer, it's just I'd rather go for value for money with a reputable independant.

Just took the S80 into Volvo Camberley (independent).

Bill was:

Pollen Filter £31
Oil Filter £6.10
Washer 90p
Screenwash 90p
6 litres 5-40 Shell Helix Ultra Synthetic Oil £36
Labour £48

+ VAT = £144.41

Not too bad I felt.

Also had a split wiper blade at £28, which was well over the top, but was at least asked first if I wanted it.

Was given a tank as a courtesy car - an M-reg Volvo 940 2.3 Automatic - a true classic car.... Superb design, despite the box jibes - excellent rear visibility and well-designed wing mirrors made parking and maneuvering easy. A bit leaden on the accelerator though.

So save £250, plus Pirbright-Camberley via Frimley is a great drive....

Carpenters near Hampton Court have looked after my V70R for about 4 years, no problems. Have just moved to Dorset this week so will be looking for someone near Sherborne if anyone knows.
