Scoping the dwell on coil packs - track
How does a novice go about scoping the dwell on his coil packs? I need to calculate both the running and cranking dwell for my car to properly configure the ECU. My friend has a bosch diagnostics terminal (smallish hand held green box of tricks that plugs into most cars about the size of a closed newspaper), this has a scope function and has 2 leads that plug in for the 'multimeter' functions it does. Guessing one is live and the other is negative. But no idea where to stick the wires etc.
