When changing gear i.e clutch down the car sometimes over revs, the car has also become quite jurky as if its miss firing, though this could be plugs/ht leads etc.
Does anybody know what this could be? The car seems to idle perfectly fine and never stalls.
Could the two problems be connected?
The car also runs far too hot though this is a separate problem.

coil pack? are the tappets noisy? if so the cam may be worn badly causing rough running

its only done 62k so even on a Ford OVH engine I would have thought it was unlikely, engine is very quiet but the previous owner told me the tappets were adjusted when they did the MOT.
Not sure what is causing the over revving though.
Either way it looks like that perfect car has turned out to be a shed :(.
