VAG raises Dutch Prices to German Levels - Honestjohn
Have just had it confirmed by a reader that pre tax prices for Audis at least have been raised in Holland. Buying at the new pre tax price, then paying UK VAT, the reader could only save £204 on an A4 TDI. Am not running this as a news item until I get further confirmation, but this could mean the end for a lot of imports from Holland and Denmark.

Due to VAG ludicrously high right hand drive surcharge on Audi's, they are a make where little is saved by importing. That said, you don't explain how Denmark creeps into the news seeing as you start off by mentioning only Holland.

BMW also charge the same price for the 7 series throughout Euro land. All that will happen is that their sales will probably plummet.

Well I'm off to Netherlands tomorrow to collect my Seat Leon 20VT.
Very nice savings to be had on Seat's over there....

To Import - ant, the same reader wrote that pre-tax prices for LHDs are now virtually the same in Holland as they are in Germany. As I wrote, I'll check with Audi tomorrow.
