Freelander 1.8 K-Series Engine Swap - 659FBE
Is it worth the effort?

I suppose if you really did want to keep one of these vehicles mobile, a diesel is the obvious choice - a well installed PSA HDi (with proper fuel filtration) would be my preference.

nobody that i know off has attempted one
dont forget you do the engine then the transfer boxes are next
these things have reached an all time low in the auctions up here

last time i saw a friend of mine from the berks & hants off-road club he was saying that a customer of his had got his hands on a toyota unit and wanted that fitted. 'lotus did it' he said and off he went. not spoke to him for a while but i will try to find out how he got on
