Audi key fob failure

Audi key fob failure - wbd
THe Audi A4 SE 2001 key fob failed so I replaced the battery (CR2032) but it still did not work??? have 'adjusted the central (-ve) contacts, they mark the battery and the corner (+ve) contacts but have no way of knowing if the contacts are made.
Is ther any re-coding or what to be done?

All help appreciated.

this is just the alarm / unlock function ? The fob needs recoding to the car. You can do it yourself (which is not the case for the immobiliser coding) cant remember the sequence off hand but should be easy to find 'audi keyfob recode' in a search should find it.

Thank you, I read the handbook, Audi call it to synchronise the key fob...place the key in the lock press either open or close remote button and turn the key...awaait around i minute and the n the remote works..well it di for me!
