Clutch noise - Mondeo - espzetec
Noticed today that when i press my clutch pedal with the engine idling, the idle noise changes. Is this normal, or does it mean that I will require a new clutch failry soon?

at a guess all that's happening is you're taking the load from the gearbox off the engine, ie a lot things have just stopped rotating. To check the clutch, handbrake on and try to move off gently in first gear, the revs should drop and if you carry on the engine will (should) stall.

Another possibility is that the thrust bearing is rattling a bit - they often do - and depressing the clutch pedal silences it.

An audible thrust bearing is not necessarily a sign of impending failure. But if it starts making a lot of noise it is worth looking into it. Very annoying when a clutch has just been relined and the thrust bearing then fails. That's why people often change them both at the same time.
