2001 1.6 Seat Ibiza Sport lambda sensors - zapster
Hi All,

my engine warning light has come on and I have been told by a local garage that it is the pre cat lambda sensor and pos the post cat is iffy but that could be because of the pre cat problem.

Is it possible to clean the sensors or will I have to buy a new one, if so where is the best place to get one from.

I'm no mechanic but if this is easy to fit or clean I'm willing to give it a go, does anyone have any tips on where the sensor is on a 2001 seat Ibiza. picture will be a great help.

a proper one will be about £100 dont fit a universal one they are no good
follow the exhaust down from the engine till you find a carbuncle with 4 wires coming out
this is your first lambda
a 22mm open ended spanner with a ring on the end will undo it if you are lucky
if you are unlucky the thread welded into the exhaust will pull out or the probe will shear
if you dont have tackle weigh the pros and cons
