2001 Nissan Maxima QX 3.0 SE+ - beeping - Stan54

Hope someone (Aprilia maybe ?) can help.

When I start the engine all the warning lights go out and the car runs very quietly & smoothly.

After around 10 to 20 seconds there are 2 short beeps from the passenger footwell / centre gear lever console area.

The Nissan Sat Nav was disabled before I bought the car - could it be searching for a CD for the Sat Nav or is it something else.

It sounds more like a reminder type sound rather than a warning sound.

Am I being stupid, is it some car stereo sound ?

Sorry, can't think what that would be.
Have you tried switching stereo and climate control off, then starting car and seeing if it does it?

Nissan want £40 to run diagnostics - I dont think it warrants it

On Vauxhalls this kind of beep genrally means the backup battery in the alarm has had it, maybe it's the same for Nissans.
