Can anyone help - How do you get the clutch pedal off to change the clutch quadrant

The shaft through the pedals has to come out ? there is 2 ?U? shaped clips on the shaft ? I usually make up a length of 1/8 welding rod and put a hook on the end and pull them off ? take the stop lamp switch off and the spring clip on the master cylinder rod ? the shaft pulls out to the centre of the car ? there are some spacers and spring washers on the shaft take note of where the go ? disconnect the cable from the clutch fork at the gearbox then the pedal will drop out to change quadrant and pawl ? carefully changing the parts on the pedal ? assembly is tricky the shaft only locates one way in the offside of the pedal box, the shaft has a flat on this end ? this is tricky fitting all the spacers and washers ? and the clips do go back with some perseverance ? fit the cable to the gearbox fork last ? As it is your first time doing this job I would recommend taking out the drivers seat ?
