Having found an online code supplier I need to remove the Ford 7000 radio from my 1997 Mondeo. I thought this would be so easy!
I made the u shaped removal tools that have worked on every other radio I have ever tried but this one wont budge. I have removed the cassette tape storage thing under the radio but it's still refusing to move.
I've tried wiggling the removal prongs and easing them inwards and outwards but no joy.
Any ideas chaps?

There is a knack to it.
Push the prongs in until you feel resistance. Then gently push it in another 5mm or so. squeeze both tools outwards (away from each other),wiggle the unit gently and pull it out.
There is nothing else to remove to get these radios out, so it's just a question of perseverance I'm afraid.
