Honda Prelude Haynes service manual - allan doc
Can anyone inform me if there is a Haynes (or similar) service manual i can buy for a 93' Honda Prelude?

Yes, where to find the ABS control unit. My ABS light comes on after i have driven for 30 secs and i want to check the fault code. Its the newer model starting from 92.

from what i can understand its behind the side panel behind the driver.
to clear codes prior to checking you need to remove fuse b2 for at least 3 seconds
its the top right one down one in to the left

Thanks. I take it the led on the contol unit will pulse the leds. I'm asking because i have been told several ways to do this and several locations of the control unit. Do i have to insert a paperclip into the jumper in the centre console or do i just take the fuse out then put back in after 30 secs and drive till the abs light comes on then read the led?

centre console by your left knee

turn ignition off
bridge pins 1@2
switch ignition on
do NOT start engine
codes will be flashed by the abs light
compare code

caveat emporer


you take out the fuse (top right one down one in b2) to clear the codes stored

There are a few workshop manuals on the Honda web site, all downloadable.

You have to dig a bit, and I havn't been on for a while, but it should be worth a look.

i realise I'm posting years after the original request, but another thread listed this useful document:

I have also attempted to clear the fault code, or rather am still unsure really how to do so.. any further, even more explicit information would as always be appreciated.

Whilst talking of it, I have the Chilton Manual, so if there's anything else you need looking up, don't hesitate.

So, you feel the Control Unit is on the drivers side? I only managed to find a 'socket' to plug in the code reader, in the passenger footwell (right hand drive car). Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? I want to locate the fuse too (b2 as mentioned above, or No.27 according to info provided in the link above).

How did you get on? Any joy?
