Pug 306 inner track rod end joint

Pug 306 inner track rod end joint - scfc_151
I have some play in the inner track rod end (rack end joint) on a 306

how easy is this to change the part the connecting rod is around £40 from the dealer. Someone told me 'your looking at a new rack' but is it possible to just change the part with the play?

fairly easy ,it just screws in to the rack piston ,be carefull of the little clip which keeps the ball joint from screwing itself back out , on some its easier to break the tab off to get the old one to unscrew but if you break the tab on the new one it shouldnt be used
