Having read reports of the Focus cutting out, I thought I would ask if anyone has an answer to my problem.
Twice my engine has cut out when i was turning right or left at about 10-15 mph. All the dashboard lights come on, steering is well nigh impossible, but if I dip the clutch, turn the ignition key, the engine immediately fires up and everything is normal! A friend has had the same problem several times but with a 2002 car. My garage have just changed the crank angle sensor as a possibility. Has anyone else had the same problem, and if so have they managed to resolve it?

Use the 'Forum Search' (right hand menu) for Focus Speed Sensor, plenty of threads with similar symptoms which in the main are down to a faulty speed sensor.
