Volvo 440 partial electrical failure

Volvo 440 partial electrical failure - Dan100
The following things have failed on my N plate 1995 1.8l Volvo 440:

1. Dipped head lights
2. Main beam
3. Blower motor
4. Rear electric windows
5. The lamp in the recirculation button
6. The SRS (airbag+pre-tensioners) warning lamp is now lit

Everything else works (including dimmed headlamps). It's intermittent, with everything working fine for a while (tens of minutes) before the above list fails, usually for a few tens of minutes too, but recently it's been like it for more than an hour - failed permanently, I guess.

Any ideas what the cause might be? Where would be a good place to take it to be fixed?
