1995 VW Passat ignition condenser

1995 VW Passat ignition condenser - Cambridge
Hello everyone,

My 1995 VW Passat 1.8 petrol engine has started interferring with the radio.
Does anyone know where the ignition condenser is? I can't find it!
Also, where is a good place to buy a replacement?

Does this car have a wing mounted aerial? If so make sure its connection with the bodywork is good and there is no corrosion stopping the aerial earthing to the car body.

There's usually a suppressor fitted to the alternator if the interference is a VVVRRR type noise that increases with revs or if its tick, tick, tick increasing with revs then I'd suspect plugs leads.

Aerial would be my first port of call though

Follow Dox's sound advice; there's no ignition condenser - they disappeared around '75.
