Kia Picanto diesel? - ib33
HJ mentioned in his review that there was a diesel version coming. Anyone know when this might be?

Think Kia pulled the plug on it, they decided the petrols were cheap enough to run (and build), and they wouldn't have made enough from a diesel model. Having driven a 1.0 litre base model, it's more than nippy enough for town driving, but feels a bit strained on the motorway, although it'll put up with high-speed driving.

There's a LHD 1.1 CRDI VGT(?) EX available in Spain; approx. 15% dearer than the petrol equivalent. There's a restyling due in March, perhaps the range will be widened in UK.

What's the source for that info? Reports I've seen suggest launch towards the end of the year.
