Vauxhall Zafira A (1999 - 2005) - 01 TC / ABS warning light

01 TC / ABS warning light - StockportGerbil
Folks :-
On my 2001 Zafira the ABS / TC light came on.
Took it down the garage and it cost £300 to fix (knackered sensor in the front nearside hub assembly requiring new assembly (£192) and 2 hours labour + VAT.)
I'm now told that the sensor is a bolt-on which should cost £15 to replace.
Has anyone here come across sensor going and what exactly did need replacing?

If you can get abs sensors for zafira/astra models for £15 I will have loads.!!The part that costs £15 is the connecting lead.The actual sensor is part of the hub assy and and can only be replaced as a complete unit as you have found out.However it is possible to buy non genuine GM parts for less money.
