Corolla 2001 Engine Oil Change

Corolla 2001 Engine Oil Change - Dumb
Superbly reliable Corolla 2001, 30k on the clock.

Semi-synthetic engine oil has been used all along. Thinking of changing to fully synthetic oil. Any comments / things to watch out?

Are you suggesting I should remain using semi-synthetic oil?

The reason is that garage nearby my house has no semi-syn oil in stock. Well, I can go to other garages but just thought to get some opinions.

Well, of course fully synthetics a better oil...... But really all it needs is the spec in the handbook.

It not going to be cost effective in the long run, but it *feels* better having fully synthetic in.

More important (IMHO) is to change the oil and filter every 6,000 miles regardless of mileage.

But thats just my opinion and is not evidence based. To be honest, if you do what it says in the handbook, thats good enough :)
