the lock on the cover to my v70s petrol tank has jammed, unfortunately this happened
1 when i was nearly out of fuel
2 when i was on the way to see my daughter in hospital
so needless to say i gave the thing a yank & snapped the plastic bit on the cover
car is just out of warranty as well
has anyone any knowledge of this happening on any other v70s
& does anyone have any advice on unjamming the lock

have a look in your handbook. there should be instructions - I think you can remove some trim in the back and access it.

Every car ive had with a remote locking on the petrol flap has always had an emergency release inside the boot.
Always seems to be near the back of the owners manual to.
I know the one on my old Pug 405s was behind the boot side trim, unclip & the push the handle.
Have a look, it should be easy to spot which bit to push / pull to open the flap once the trims unclipped.
