Hi,
I've got a 98 S reg 1.4 RT Clio with a couple of annoying problems.
1) Remote key doesn't work, I've changed the batteries but still no light on the key!!
2) Radio doesn't work, it lights up, so there is power getting to it but nothing happens when I try and switch it on!
3) The display in the centre of the dash shows nothing, is this connected to the radio?
Apart from these things the car is sound. I know the most obvious thing is to take it to a Renault dealer but does anyone know of an alternative?
Are there any Renault specialists in and around the Reading area?

If Maidenhead isn't too far, I can recommend Harpers Motors. Mike Harper looks after my Fabia and my son's Clio - he has a background in Renaults and VWs. 01628 500999. Not connected just a happy customer.

Also try Theale Motor Works, they are a Renault Garage but not a main dealer - long established family business, with a very good lead tech who is good with electrics, Simon is his name.
