My wife has a Rover 214 which has done 95,000 miles. The cambelt was last changed at 40,000 miles in 2002. So I'm guessing it is due a replacement - am I right? Does anyone know when they should be replaced??
Thanks in advance :)

My understanding is 60k or 5yrs for all models. So, yes, it's due.

I can confirm it is either 5 yrs or 60K. Will be worth doing the water pump at the same time for the sake of an extra £30 I suppose. Local Rover independant recommends 40K changes but cant say I have heard of any premature breakages within the mentioned guidelines.

Rover recommend 5 years/ 50k miles for the k-series belt.

I'd replace it now, better safe than sorry. Always better to replace before it snaps and Better safe than sorry.
