focus no accelerator response

focus no accelerator response - grahamE
Caught in a traffic jam I get a glow plug flashing light and the accelerator does not work, switch engine off and re-start and its ok again. Any ideas?

Classic accelerator pedal ass'y fault symptons. I believe a new one from Ford costs around the £60 mark. Easy to fit, just a plug and 2 or 3 bolts.

Thanks for that, it may explain why the clutch pedal fell off 12 months ago!
Another letter to Ford customer relations is on the way.
